
Overview
Location DSM’s facility is located in the East Midlands just a few miles west of Peterborough and is recognised as being one of the largest centres outside of London. The facility is 37m above sea level and occupies a four acre rural site. The 'rural' location eliminates the many risks that are associated with 'city centre' / 'industrial area' type premisesWorkplace Positions The facility has over 600 configured Workplace Recovery positions spread across five air conditioned suites. Overall capacity is in excess of 800. A number of meeting rooms including a 40 seat theatre suite, 20 seat executive board room and a 50 seat kitchen/canteen are available to clients during occupation.Data Centre The facility has in excess of 2500sq ft of Data Centre space with a further 3000sq ft planned for 2009. The Data suite is used for Hosting and Data vaulting services. Power & Other Utilities The Data Centre and suites are power protected by generator and UPS systems to tier level 3/4 thus allowing continued, uninterrupted operation in any mains failure or service situation. The facility has its own gas supply, dual water supplies, on-site sewerage handling and a communication structure comprising of twin, high bandwidth fibres as well as Microwave and copper. Security The facility is enclosed within a steel perimeter fence with access restricted, through electronic means, to authorised persons only. Internally, all areas have electronic proximity card access control that allows or denies access as contracted. Travel / Parking / Access / Local Amenities
The DSM site has sufficient space for more than 500 vehicles. HGV access and parking is also easily accommodated. Helicopter arrivals can be made direct into the DSM secure compound with light aircraft access just 500m away.
DSM is in close proximity to a number of major 'A' routes ie: A1M 3miles, A47 2miles, A605 2miles, A14 8miles.. Peterborough City centre is 20 minutes drive, Leicester 45 minutes and London Kings Cross, by train, 55 minutes.
The facility has, within a 5 minute drive, access to one of the largest 'out of town' Shopping Malls within the UK and 22 eating establishments ranging from a roadside cafe, through a Lochfyne fish restaurant to an a-la-carte menu at the local Haycock Hotel
